About

new york, for now

Eats well, turns everything into ice cream. Always scheming up the next Sunday Supper Series. Born in Seattle, raised in Delaware, earned my B.S. in Educational Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, now based in Brooklyn, NY on unceded, ancestral Lenape homeland.

Small list of pleasures: alpine lake swims, dessert, gift wrapping, the smell of limes, spelling, driving 6 hours for a sunrise mission, muscari and hellebore, unsuspect humor, stone soup (& never following the recipe)

Pacific Crest Trail: 451/2650 miles down, trail name Swiffer Thee Italian Stallion

Crossed 210 books off the list since COVID and counting, recap with me here.

“For there are no new ideas. There are only new ways of making them felt, of examining what those ideas feel like being lived on Sunday morning at 7am, after brunch, during wild love, making war, giving birth, mourning our dead, while we suffer the old longings, battle the old warnings and fears of being silent and impotent and alone, while we taste new possibilities and strengths.”
